Those questions have their place.

This is probably the biggest takeaway I want you to remember.

But you don’t need to respond with fear or an aggressive detox program.

Your body already has systems working around the clock.

The goal is to support those systems and reduce unnecessary exposure when you can.

And if you’re already experiencing digestive problems, fatigue, headaches, poor sleep, or other symptoms, don’t ignore the pattern.

Look at what has changed.

  1. Your environment.
  2. Your food.
  3. Your sleep.
  4. Your stress.
  5. Your movement.
  6. Your digestion.
  7. Your overall health.

That’s the kind of bigger picture we look at in functional medicine.

Because sometimes the question isn’t simply:

“What’s wrong with my gut?”

A better question might be:

“What has my body been dealing with lately?”
