BBQ Tofu Tacos: A Must-Try Recipe

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 30 minutes

Serves: 4


12 oz. firm tofu, crumbled

1 T. olive oil

1 t. smoked paprika

1/2 t. ground cumin

1/4 t. dried oregano

1/4 c. BBQ sauce

1 c. sour cream

1/4 c. fresh parsley, chopped

2 scallions, thinly sliced

2 t. lemon juice

8 small tortillas

1 c. salsa, preferably homemade

Sea salt and black pepper to taste


1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

2. Line a rimmed baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper.

3. Add crumbled tofu to the prepared baking sheet and toss with olive oil, smoked paprika, cumin, and oregano.

4. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

5. Bake until browned and crispy, approximately 15-20 minutes.

6. Remove tofu from the oven and mix in BBQ sauce.

7. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes.

8. In the meantime, mix sour cream, parsley, scallions, and lemon juice in a small bowl; season with salt and pepper to taste.

9. Heat tortillas in the oven or inside a skillet and fill with BBQ tofu, sour cream sauce, and homemade salsa.
