Baked apples are a delicious, satisfying fall treat. This recipe prepared by our functional medicine Los Angeles is really more of a method, and amounts and ingredients will vary based on personal preference. Depending on what type of granola you use, you may wish to add additional dried fruit or nuts to jazz it up. Dried cranberries, apricots, figs, mangoes, and prunes are all delicious. Be sure to chop the dried fruit into pieces the same size as your raisins for the best taste and texture. If your granola is unsweetened, drizzle in a bit of honey to add sweetness if desired.
Whether you’re making them for a family gathering, breakfast, or a cozy night in, these baked apples will quickly become a favorite, guaranteed by our functional medicine Burbank experts.
